All 6 Days are required, plus 5 two-hour online consultation meetings to answer case specific questions and to help you implement EMDR therapy into your practice. This is a hybrid training with the first 2 week-ends in San Diego (Marina Village) and the last week-end online. Each training day inlcudes clinical practice so this hybrid format will provide all participants the direct clinical experinece of EMDR in person AND online.

This San Diego Regional EMDRIA approved EMDR training is for a small cohort of clinicians to foster a supportive collegial environment using the EMDR Institute training materials with the latest updates.
This training includes more than the EMDRIA required 50 hours. The training is content heavy including time each day for direct practice using your own personal material. These are not role plays. This will include work on incidents that hold disturbance for you. If you are not ready be in a client role as part of the training or if you do not have an active clinical caseload, you will want to hold off on enrolling for this training. EMDR training is designed for you to begin practicing portions of EMDR with your clients over the course of the training period. The training dates are spread out to help you build on concepts and experience.
Training and consultation meetings are spread out to aid in your application of EMDR in your practice. Please read documents below for more information on the requirements and expectations.

After Alicia Avila was trained in EMDR by Dr. Francine Shapiro, Dr, Shapiro personally selected and trained Alicia to be an EMDR trainer.
EMDR Certification is an advanced standing in EMDR and something you will work towards with more experience in using emdr and additional consultation and training. This course is the first step towards certification. Link to EMDRIA info. on Certification
You must complete all 6 full training dates (8:15-5), plus the 5 consultation meetings (2-hour virtual meetings), plus 3 videos to watch prior to the first lecture and required reading. Required evaluations and online quizzes to help integrate the main concepts
Registration deadline has passed. Contact trainer directly to see if you can still join: Application, Participant agreement, and registration fee. This includes the 6 days PLUS the 10 hours of consultation, videos, manual and CEU's for those who are licensed in CA and request the CEU's in advance. Unlicensed clinicians need their clinical supervisor's approval and the clinical supervisor needs to complete the supervisor agreement.

For online participation; your full active attendance (with video camera on) in a private setting without interruptions is necessary.
This training is eligible for 40 CEU when requested for CA licensed clinicians who complete the full training. Requests must be made at time of enrollment.

The cost of the full training including basic training consultation including the 6 full days of training, the training manual, clinical worksheets, and the 10 hours of consultation meetings that are often not included in the costs of other trainings. Please review the documents above for additional details. Complete the application and agreement(s) through links above. Here is a checklist for application materials.
In person trainings are $317 for each training day plus $760 for the 10 hours of online group consultation. The full cost of this private EMDRIA approved training is $2660/person payment deadline extended to June 5th. This comes out to approximately $50/hr.
